Notes:
Growing a few feet away from obs 319638, but not the same species. The mushrooms in this observation lack metuloid cystidia and the spores are narrower than 319638.

Growing on a decomposing log.

Taste slightly sour.

Spores 5-6.5 × 2.5-3.5. Hymenal cystidia (cheilocystidia, I think) subclavate to clavate. White spore print.

Wow! Looks like a nice call on an atypical version of P. conchatus, at least atypical in my experience. Color of fruit bodies not what I would expect for P. conchatus. But everything else fits… spore dimensions, cystidia, growth habit, season.
