When: 2018-06-25

Collection location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA [Click for map]

Who: Logan Wiedenfeld (LoganW)

Specimen available

Notes:
Growing near a young water oak. Volva is fragile and apt to stay behind in the earth, no matter how careful one is. Striation seems to take up the bulk of the cap.

Thank you, once again for the shipment. We’re working through it this afternoon. I like to get the relevant MO information onto the herbarium labels. This gets to be a lot of work. We’re going out for dinner after we knock off. :)

This reminds me a little bit of Amanita rooseveltensis nom. prov.
