Notes:
Growing among moss and leaf litter on a ridge top near Quercus alba, Quercus rubra, Sassafras albidum, Cornus sp., Acer rubrum, Fagus grandifolia, Carpinus caroliniana, Prunus serotina and Carya ovata. Context brown and very fibrous. Monomitic with simple septate generative hyphae. Basidia 4-sterigmate. Spores smooth. Spore measurements from Piximetre: (6) 6.1 – 7.4 (7.5) × (4.7) 4.72 – 5.4 (5.6) µm, Q = 1.2 – 1.4 (1.5); N = 22, Me = 6.7 × 5.1 µm; Qe = 1.3
