Cap/upper_surface: ca 1 cm across; high convex often with slightly flattened center when young, becoming low convex with a often with a raised center when mature; bald; slightly irregular margins due to striations that extend halfway to the center; white with black scales on center when young, often missing on mature caps.
Cap/underside: Gills including regular short gills; not attached; white.
Stipe: 2-3 mm diameter equal along length with a bulbous base; annulus present; thick threads of mycelium at base; translucent when young becoming opaque with age.
