Growing under mixed hardwoods with some pine present, solitarily about 3 foot from road. Cap dry, smooth (note: no recent rain). Pore surface prominently depressed at stipe, no noticeable bruising. Stipe consisted of some slight scale-like scabers present above halfway point of stipe. Also, there were some slight reticulations at mid-stipe. Didn’t get deposit.
