Notes:
Growing in a dense mixed hardwood/coniferous forest in NW Georgia (Gordon County), US.

Red/orange pores immediately stain blue/black when touched/sliced. Flesh and stipe also stain blue when sliced. Flavor is mild with a slight astringent note if left in mouth.

Chemical analysis:
Cap: Iron Salts negative. KOH-amber. Ammonia: fades to pale peach.

Flesh: Iron salts- yellow. KOH- yellow/brown. Ammonia-olive green/yellow.

Pore surface: Iron salts negative. KOH-Amber red. Ammonia-amber brown.
