Observation 32910: Pluteus Fr. sect. Pluteus

When: 2010-01-26

Collection location: San Rafael, Marin Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

Notes:
These were growing in a cluster under a planted bush and with wood chips also close by.
Caps up to 13.3 cm across and free gills.
Spores were pinkish brown and approx. 5.6-7.0 X 4.1-5.0 microns.
The stalk was rather robust for a pluteus so Pluteus magnus seems a good bet.
