When: 2018-08-29

33.4552°N 84.6015°W 279m [Click for map]
Who: Ian Blaylock (catfish.deity)
No specimen available
Notes:
Noticed that the area around it was mostly pine, casting doubt on my identification. From everything I can see the macro features fit the best. The surrounding woods have a fair number of oak trees…I may have overlooked the source.
Pores bruised quickly a persistent dark blue, cap flesh was pale and turn a slow pale blue when cut, and the stipe flesh was yellow turning slightly yellower toward the base. Taste was mild. Smooth glaborous rose colored cap.
