Biotopes: grows in calcareous soil, grassy environment, under hardwoods and conifers;
Pileus 15-41 mm Ø, convex, hilly, fibrillate to squamous in the center, brown, dark brown to cream brown, reddish brown, center dark, ± rimose, margin sold in places;
Gills sinuate, adnate to adnexate, broad, narrow, ± spaced, with lamellae and lamellules, beige with greenish reflections;
Stipe 30-50 × 3-5 mm Ø, cylindrical, ± equal, longitudinally striated, pale brown to reddish brown middle to base, pale to apex, streaked longitudinally, twisted towards base, ± bulbous;
Cortine present, fleeting;
Flesh whitish, unchanging;
Exhalaison ungal to ± marbled;
Flavor marbled, ± spermatic to subfungal;
Spore print brown to pale cinnamon brown;
