My AmScope is a binocular view, so I don’t get good photos through it. The spores for this clearly had warts arranged in a reticulate pattern, appearing like a tiling with polygons.
I had always thought that one required a high-powered advanced microscope to view the spore ornamentation for Strobilomyces. But, my $200 AmScope apparently works just fine!
Collected within 12 hours of heavy rainfall.
I preserved a piece of cap/tubes.
