This is growing in my cedar deck at the back of my house The wood is a bit rotten. It’s dry, but I found it in my toddlers mouth. Managed to get it out, but he may have ingested a tiny bit. Worried it’s something dangerous.

The stem looks to have a hollow core throughout, but it’s dry. Happy to try send better photos if it will help or answer questions.

It’s small 2.5-3cm wide.

Not positive what this is due to it’s dry condition. The little ones probably fine if you’re sure no others were ingested. Hopefully someone will have a better idea and put your mind at ease.
