Growing in my lawn next to a small colonial rock wall (old) with grape vines above and mint below on mulch and in grass close to mulch beds. It growing small to very large. Jet Black gills leading up to a ring on the stipe which is usually purplish toward the end where it meets the cap. Brown large caps that are convex to flat. I.D. would be great I am really baffled as I’ve never heard of such a mushroom around this area and it’s right in my backyard. Also lawn was recently laid down with hydroseed about 18 months ago. Found through late summer to mid fall. Thank you.
