Identified specimens displayed at NJMA’s foray in BBSF.
Amanitas, boletes, russulas, milk caps and corts dominated the landscape in this unusually productive early fall season. Thanks to the remarkably warm and rainy September, many summer species that typically disappear that month have been enjoying the favorable conditions and rewarded the foragers.
Foraging on this and other state lands by the club was conducted under the auspices of the NJ DEP.
