there are some other southern species in this group, L. tinctoria and L. sanguiflua, L. jamaicensis and L. besseyi/mucrocystis.
it does not look like La. meleagris, nor La. americanus.

have you had frost or has the area been sprayed? I don’t think it could be sunburn, but it might be. Okay, GA, definitely no frost!
