Habitat is typical Quinault lowland rain forest. Doug fir, spruce, hemlock, cedar and big leaf maple. Growing in patch with other Ramaria types (Coral mushrooms) in thick moss, needle duff and rotting windfall.
No distinct odor, taste. No staining. Texture almost rubbery. Not fragile. Color bright salmon pinkish orange fading to white at the base.
