Found this specimen growing on a decaying palm stump in central Phoenix. I identified them using image comparison and physical attributes. Yellowish to burnt-rusty orange in color, no distinctive scent, some bruise blueish green while others not at all.

I collected the mature mushrooms, and noticed a second flush of fruits forming. This is along the side of a restaurant where there is quite a bit of condensation drippage from the ac/refrigerator units collecting, providing an environment that is in complete contrast to the conventional and surrounding environment. This is also following the storms that rolled through the state after hurricane Rosa. To my knowledge there hasn’t yet been documentation of this species growing in Phoenix, let alone Arizona.
