Notes:
Growing scattered in mixed oak, birch, white pine woods. Caps 2-7.5 cm, white with yellowish stains, especially over the center, slightly tacky. Caps convex to broadly umbonate when young, maturing to nearly plane. Flesh thin, white, no odor, no taste. Gills adnexed, close, white, edges uneven, no lamellulae. Stipes 4-9 cm long x 1-2 cm thick, mostly equal, smooth and white with brownish to yellowish tones at the base. Flesh white.
