Notes:
Growing from rotting birch log. Caps brownish orange over the center, lighter around the edge. Gills buff to pale gray, close, attached, with a delicate white partial veil when young. Stipes caespitose, cream at the apex, darkening to the same color as the cap, fibrillose towards the base., 7-9 cm long x 5-7 mm thick. Spores ellipsoid, yellow in KOH, 5.6-6.4 × 3.1-4. A few scattered pleurochrysocystidia, mucronate to ventricose-rostrate. Cheilocystidia abundant, broadly to short subtibiiform. Clamps present in gill trama.
