Observation 339316: Lactarius Pers.

When: 2018-10-14

Collection location: Stone Door, Savage Gulf SNA, Tennessee, USA [Click for map]

Who: Brian Adamo (adamo588)

No specimen available

Notes:
Cap is 30mm wide, stem is off-center. Growing on a rotted log. Light cream-colored spore print. Spores are warty, globose to subglobose 6-7 × 5-6µ. Kinda looks like a Lactarius from the spores, but no latex and growing on wood? Firm flesh, not crumbly like a Russula, either.
