All good points (although I believe that a few Panaeolus species are known to occur in the absence of excrement). But the strongly striate cap surface (which I had not originally taken the time to observe) and the clearly free gill (non)attachment kill the Panaeolus proposal. Forgot about the gills never being truly free for Panaeolus. So, thanks for the review.

I would say the gills first and foremost. Then the striate cap from disc to margin.

Panaeolus is unlikely

Due to the substrate, free gill attachment, striate cap and veil remnants on the cap surface.
