I checked descriptions of Neoalbatrellus/Albatrellus caeruleoporus, and it seems this species occurs in coniferous areas. (I have found it under hemlock.) Habitat for this observation is reported as featuring only oaks. Also, N. caeruleoporus looks to be consistently grayish-blue to brown on the cap and slightly paler but similarly colored on the underside. The mushrooms seen here appear to feature caps with bluish flush over a whitish ground color, with a pale (almost white) hymenium.
