This is the toughest mushroom I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t break it or tear it, and repeatedly smashing it on trees and countertops didn’t even make a dent.
It was found on fresh flood debris that was likely underwater a week or two ago.
The ‘pore’ area is also comprised of “slots” instead of round pores.
Pretty neat looking actually- almost geometric/abstract patterns, or like a printed circuit board.
I have it on paper now, but no spores seemed to have dropped yet.

Polypore ? under belly
Polypore ? under belly close up macro.
My 1st time seeing this pattern on the underneath of a mushroom. It’s probably common, but I spend more time in the wood than in the books….
For a newb like me, everything still holds wonder and excitement.

Thanks for checking in Alan! I’m sorry, but I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to upload photos here. I tried these 5 different times on 2 different computers and browsers. Hope to get the rest up them from that day uploaded now.

Do you have any photos?
