The striate cap margin and limbate volva on the bulbous base suggest a species of section Amanita.
Thanks for the material.
Very best,
Rod
It is a species of section Amanita, but not one that has its sequence data deposited in GenBank. I think it is reasonable a sp-Tnn temporary code. We have obtained good sequences for the nrITS and nrLSU sequences. Amanita crenulata was discussed for this species in the past; however, the sequences are distinct from those that we know for A. crenulata.
Thanks for sending this material.
The effort was appreciated.
Very best,
Rod
