Specimen 5 cm tall, with defined cap and stark. Sporocarp is 1.3 cm long, and the color is dark brown to black. Head of specimen is pimpled or roughened looking with a white powder noticeable. Unable to observe the spores. Specimen was found alongside of a trail in damp conditions.

“Fertile cep 1.3cm broad…” Let’s not call it a “cep” or a “cap” :), and did you mean 1.3cm long instead of broad? Correct if so.
Use a different key for species characteristics. The white powder on the top of the sporocarp is made up of ascospores!
