Growing in grassy area, near edge of pine woods. Cap viscid, then dry. Cuticle peeling about 1/3 to 3/4. Stipe firm, white though becoming brownish with handling/age. Gills white, unchanging. Taste quickly hot. KOH pale yellow on cap, drying pinkish. FeSO4 orange on stipe. Deposit cream. Spores ellipsoid to broadly ellipsoid; ornamentation consisting of isolated warts up to 0.75um, some connectors present, but not forming any sort of reticula. ~ 6.3-8.5 x (5)5.3-6.5
