Observation 342727: Lactarius Pers.

Single fungi found in soil in Eucalyptus rainforest.
I am having difficulty in suggesting a name for this fungi. It does appear to be similar to MO obs 66344, but this fungi’s gill structure is wider and deeper. The stipe is in cortast to the gill’s colour also as in (663440.). A small section at the base of the stipe broke of when it was removed from the habitat. It may have been attached to underground wood or root system. NOTE: in the natural filtered light of the rainforest both the Cap & Stipe appeared darker than represented in the images loaded.
