Notes:
Pileus: Up to 130 mm, convex at first becoming plane and then upturned and depressed in age, radially fibrillose, golden to off-white/beige in maturity.
Context: 24 mm thick, off-white. No change or staining.
Lamellae: attached, close, frequent lamellulae, serrate, beige.
Stipe: 60–70 x 25 mm, scaly fibrillose, annulate, bulbous base, solid, off-white/beige.
Spore Print: violaceous-brown.
Spores: 4.5–9 x 3–6 µm, ovate, verrucose, some uni or biguttulate, pale brown.
Habitat: In grass around the roots of tree stump (unable to ID species), all other trees nearby are Liriodendron tulipifera.
