I was running into some of these issues when I attempted to key it using a few different resources, thus I left it as Gyromitra. I appreciate your comments!

also says that Abbot & Currah have synonymized korfii, montana, and gigas. But, ME also mentions a lack of molecular support for this “lumping” proposal http://www.mushroomexpert.com/gyromitra_montana.html. Index fungorum does not list any pair of these three as synonyms.
