Notes:
Xylaria hypoxylon, Carbon antlers, Candlesnuff. Found growing on the ground amongst decaying mixed coniferous/deciduous pristine forest plant matter in a very moist environment a few feet off the portage trail between Mantario Lake and Spider Lake. Not collected as specimens were within a Manitoba Provincial Park. Found during the 2015 Nature Manitoba Mycelium Canoeing adventure week at Mantario Wilderness Education Centre lead by Donna R Kurt.
