Thallus endolithic, apothecia aggregated mostly in rock cracks but also on smooth faces, a bit more spread out there. Apothecia plane to strongly flexuous, with persistently raised lecideine margin, disk epruinose to weakly pruinose to rarely with crusty thick pruina. Epihymenium aeruginose, extending into hymenium. Exciple black peripherally, light brown interior.
Spores simple, hyaline, narrowly ellipsoid, 12-14 × 3-4µm.
