Thallus greyish, scurfy, K-. Apothecia sessile, plane, with persistent thalline margin concolorous with thallus. Disk black, always epruinose.

Spores Type A development, Physcia-type, with persistent apical thickenings, and weak torus. Average size 18.4×8.6 (n=5).
