Notes:
Collected by Jason Slot on a group foray. Growing on bare soil with small rootlets protruding. Possible host trees in the area were Quercus spp., Carya spp., Fagus grandifolia, Ostrya virginiana and Carpinus caroliniana. All structures inamyloid. Cystidia and hyphidia absent. Monomitic. Generative hyphae mostly simple-septate but at least some clamps present. Spores smooth and thick-walled. Spore measurements: (4.8) 5.3 – 6.9 (8) × (4.1) 4.3 – 5.1 (5.3) µm, Q = (1) 1.1 – 1.5 (1.6); N = 30, Me = 6.2 × 4.6 µm; Qe = 1.3
