appears to show about 4 spore-dispersal holes. Together with the “multi-stalk”, this seems to really nail the ID. The only thing that seems to not fit the description of M. coliforme is the rather small overall size of the fruit body. According to Wiki, this is a rare species. I’ve never found it. Nice find! Maybe the observing the spore ornamentation will help here?
If there is plenty of moisture they will put out specimens in the three inch range.
In the dry years they will fruit at the same sites, but in the one inch range.
Always fun to see.
