A. foetens and A. thiersii are the same species. I have not heard a final word on this, but some evidence was put forward in the last year of the possibility of synonymy. I would suggest that if you give the ID “Amanita stirps Thiersii” you are covered because both the names under consideration are names of taxa in that group whether or not the two names are synonymous.
