When: 2019-05-13

Collection location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dave W (Dave W)

No specimen available

Notes:
Asci slightly amyloid on the upper portions, distinctly amyloid on the tips. Basal portions with enlarged angular tips.
Parapyses difficult to find among the many asci. None found in full view. I believe the last photo shows the apical portion (terminating segment?) of a paraphysis, slightly thickened toward the apex.
Collected during rainfall. 4th photo snapped after the fruit body sat on a table and dried out bit.
Found growing on recently spread mulch.

Images

Same fruit body as photo #1.
Asci with amyloid tips.
Paraphysis? Slender object seen sticking into clear center of photo. Stained with cotton blue/lactic acid.
