Observation 367104: Mycena sensu lato
When: 2019-05-20
Collection location: Seven Tubs Natural Area, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]
Who: Dave W (Dave W)
No specimen available
Notes:
Solitary in moss. At first, I thought this was an Entoloma (similar to E. conicum).
White spore print.
Spores 8-10 × 5-6, inamyloid (or possibly weakly amyloid; not much of a reaction in Meltzer’s). Appearing verrucose in Congo red (mixed with Meltzer’s), but this may be due to viewing the contents of otherwise hyaline spores.
