Notes:
White polypore, several decimeters in extent, growing underneath surface of burnt pine tree. Pores round, 4 per mm; margin fimbriose, with a sweet smell; KOH hardly changed it. Spores allantoid, 7.6 × 2.5 micro units. something unusual was found after obtaining the spore print on a slide: numerous ‘deformed’ spores-like structures, some very long capitate and septate.
