Observation 368671: Filoboletus Henn.

Habitat: montane forest
Substrate: dead wood
Abundance: Quite a Few
Additional notes: Dozens in groups on a log. Caps under 2 inches, initially white, convex; becoming flatter, tan with white margin, then somewhat zoned with shades of tan and slight striation at the margin. Eventually deliquescing. Stipe is clear, translucent at the apex becoming cranberry red toward the base. Spore surface is latticed, bolete-like.
May be F. gracilis which has been reported for Mesoamerica, but coloring seems darker to me.
