Host: Picea engelmannii, burned
Other: At very base of charred dead stump of tree. Soft and fragrant when collected, dried to corky. Flesh beige, single tube layer dark brown. Pores white, circular, tiny. Cap glabrous, hard, dark brown. Imbricate, new caps forming under mature cap are rounded, pale, with a slight purplish tinge.
