Thank you sir for your assistance. Looks like I had better stop trying to name things. As for size, I also screwed up and forgot to put a note on the “scale” pic. Measuring my penknife I get a stipe length of about 2.5 inches.

…is a species from sect./subsect. Amanita. It has a striate cap margin, a white stipe terminating in a distinct bulb “crowned” with a collared volval deposits. Your collection, however, can be assigned to sect. Validae. It’s probably a large A. flavoconia.
