Observation 373245: Omphalina sensu lato

Notes:
Scattered growth on a very wet, moss-covered log that was overhanging a decent sized creek; Macro: Pileus about 1 to 3 cm broad, tan-buff to light brown, slightly darker in center, centrally depressed, glabrous, moist/tacky, slightly translucent when wet, opaque when dry, margin slightly scalloped; Lamellae adnate to slightly decurrent, not crowded (but not distant), intervenose, lamellulae present in series of 2-3, cream to light-buff; Stipe about 2-3 mm wide and up to about 12 mm long, tacky, concolorous with pileus, maybe a shade or so darker; Odor/Taste mild to nondistinctive, did not taste; Micro: Basidiopores ellipsoid-ovoid to subamygdaliform, thin-walled, hyaline, appearing to contain granulose contents or appearing guttulate, ~ (7.1 – 8.0) 8.3 – 10.0 (11.0 – 12.0) x (4.0 – 4.2) 4.3 – 5.1 (5.2 – 5.6) μm; Q = 1.46 – 2.50; N = 43; (95% Conf: L x W = 8.7 – 9.3 × 4.6 – 4.8 μm; Q = 1.9 – 2.0); Basidia clavate to inflated-cylindric, hyaline, 2 – 3 (4) spored, ~ 28 – 43 × 6 – 8 (9) μm; Q = 3.6 – 7.2; N = 20; (95% Conf: L x W = 33.1 – 37.1 × 6.8 – 7.3 μm; Q = 4.6 – 5.4); Hymenial cystidia absent or merely nondifferentiated/appearing as basidiole-like elements; Lamellar trama subregular, becoming densely tangled and irregular at subhymenium, hyphae hyaline with oleiiferous hyphae scattered; Pileipellis a scattered cutis composed of hyaline hyphae, thin-walled, septate, mostly smooth, infrequently branched or with small knob-like protrusions (diverticuli?), large and scattered areas appearing gelatinized/collapsed and undifferentiated from pileal trama, areas of golden-oily contents common and scattered; Stipitipellis a cutis, hyaline to pale brown in water, septate, mostly thin-walled; Caulocystidia/Stipe Vesture scattered, cylindric to cylindro-clavate, thin-walled; Clamp Connections observed in all tissue/hyphae, though not occurring at every septum.
