Darv- Thanks for the name correction. I’ll definitely take your word on this one as you’ve studied this group far more than I have and I wasn’t using any Florida based literature when I applied C. stercoreus.

Cyathus poeppigii?

Cyathus stercoreus has a smooth interior, not grooved or plicate. This photo looks like Cyathus poeppigii or C. striatus. Both are reported to ocurr in Florida and both have several macroscopically similar species. From “The Bird’s Nest Fungi” by Brodie, 1975.
