Growing in the park grass and buried in the needle duff under Picea. Cap with brownish-red warts, margin appendiculate, non-striate. Gills white, staining brownish-red, free, short gills frequent, spores white. Annulus superior and skirtlike, base of stipe very bulbous with chiseling, staining brownish-red. Context white, not changing when sliced, KOH negative. Smells offensive, like musty urine. Largest was about 220mm tall, cap 250mm wide.
