Notes:
On the base of a Monterey Cypress tree at a residence on the bluff overlooking Morro Bay.

Thallus thin, discontinuous, whitish grey with light yellowish orange areas where apothecia are originating. Apothecia <1mm, starting out with crusty white margins when erupting through the thallus and orange pruina on the disks, becoming plane with reduced thalline margins. Pycnidia not seen. Spore average size: 11.2×5.2×4.6µm (n=7). Ratio septum to length=0.41.

ID is best guess based on size of septum and white thallus, which fits with Arup 2009 and McCune 2012.
