Observation 421041: Amanita Pers.

Amanita sect. vaginatae
Horizontal Wilderness Research Center

- Ecology: Found on edge of trail in conifer heavy mixed woods near Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Growing alone.
- Cap: 50mm length. Striations of 11mm. Gray with hint of olive.
- Stem: 90mm length. 8mm width (slightly larger at base). No ring. Brown fibrils near top, otherwise smooth. Going into sac-like white volva with hints of brown
- Gills: White, semi-close. Barely connected to stem.
- Spore print: White.
