These mushrooms were growing on a dead sugar maple. Clusters were on the trunk two feet above the ground. Other clusters of very small mushrooms were growing at the base.

Spore print on multiple black substrates varied from white to white with a very fine violet tint.

Firm texture. No specific odor. No bruise discoloration. Not slippery, sticky, or wet.
