Hi man, this was grown from spores.

I made spore syringe myself and inoculated rye with it. Rye was prepared in the usual way (24 hours soak, 15 minutes simmer, then sterilized in PC).

After it was fully colonized, I spawned it to bulk (only coir which was pasteurized)

That’s the way I do it, it never disappoints me. Simple, and yields are good.

That said, best would be of course to use let’s say pda agar, since I suffer huge loses to contamination. But I’m growing for the thrills of it, I don’t care when I lose jars. Watching those fungal contaminations rocks my boat as well.

What was substrate of the spawn before adding to bulk casing coco coir? Was this from spore or lc?
