You can’t see from the image that the pileus flesh is yellow – it changes to blue too fast – one needs to examine this feature with undivided attention.

Microscopically, the spores are ribbed with cross-striae.

Recognized by sight: Pileus tan with flattened to felty appressed squamae. Pileus flesh yellow, quickly cyanescent. Stipe white with yellow and a bit of red at apex, finely fibrillose striate, staining orange brown, with interior white, weakly cyanescent at apex, light orange brown below, white at base.
