I’m not sure of this collection but many of the characteristics and habitat remind me of a psilocybe sp.

I think it very well could be a Psilocybe. The gills strike me, as well as the cap margin undulating and looking (could be wrong with the pic quality) to be slighty inturned. I still think i see a out of focus bluish tinge at the base also. What makes you say it probably didnt blue considering your guess (and mine) of it being a Psilocybe? It could very well be just Psathyrella or Agrocybe and, I dont think there will be much of a conclusion on what this is regardless. Not enough info and pictures.

Still think…

it’s a psilocybe. I don’t think it is a psathyrella sp. because the stipe was far to strong (like a psilocybe)to be psathyrella. Sorry for the poor photos. I’m on a bike tour so I was busy doing other stuff. Unfortunately I didn’t stick around long enough to see if there was any blueing. Probably not though.

Better pics would be a help.

Did the mushroom have any bluing reaction? What was the habitat? Did the stem break easily? It could be just Psathyrella sp. or Agrocybe sp. but it does resemble Psilocybe a bit also. Towards the base of the stem there looks to be a bluish(?!) tinge to the mycelia “fuzz”. Could also not be blue and just lighting or whatever and a little unfocused.
