Even my Petersen’s doesn’t have this sort of thing. It has cornsmut and that juniper orange-jelly-cone rust and that’s it.

But then … are you sure? The existing observations with this name on this site number four, and two are mine from last year and look different from this (smaller and a pale peach rather than bright orange) and the other two look similar to one another but different from any of my obses. I’m wondering if two or even three different species are getting lumped together here.

Any ideas?
